MESSNINGEN is a music project by Hidemaru Tamamura, centered on noise, ambient, and electronic sound.

MESSNINGEN is based in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo, and operates as an independent experimental music project.
東京・下北沢を拠点に、独立した実験音楽プロジェクトとして活動しています。
Since its inception in 2025, the project has produced studio albums and concept works, while also releasing weekly recordings of improvisational performances.
2025年の活動開始以来、スタジオアルバムやコンセプト作品を発表しながら、即興演奏の記録映像も毎週公開しています。
The improvisations are primarily based on no-input mixing board techniques and harsh noise approaches, though the methods and equipment are never fixed. Each performance emerges from an ongoing exploration, where structure, control, and unpredictability constantly shift.
インプロヴィゼーションでは、No-input mixing board や Harsh noise の手法を基盤としつつも、奏法や使用機材は固定せず、常に試行錯誤を続けています。演奏はその都度、構造、制御、偶然性の揺らぎの中から立ち上がります。
The project itself originates from a personal motivation: a form of preparation for the end of life. Rather than pursuing consistency or a defined style, it follows a simple principle — to do what feels necessary, in the moment it feels necessary.
このプロジェクトの出発点には、玉村英丸自身の終活としての動機があります。統一性や明確なスタイルを追い求めるよりも、その瞬間に必要だと感じたことを、その瞬間にやる、という姿勢が核にあります。
As a result, MESSNINGEN does not adhere to a single identity. It moves between extremes, from dense noise to fragile silence, without attempting to unify them. The work exists as a record of impulses, decisions, and time.
そのためMESSNINGENは、単一のアイデンティティに回収されません。濃密なノイズから壊れそうな静けさまでを、無理に一つへまとめることなく行き来します。その作品群は、衝動、選択、そして時間の記録として存在しています。
